 "The Weight of One's Self" is set along the Saone River, next to the pedestrian bridge and in front of the Palace of Justice.  Although at first it appears to be a man heroically saving another, the man is actually carrying himself. The artists
 Two rivers rucn through Lyon, the Rhone and the Sonne.  Lyon was occupied by Nazi forces for much of World War II.  When they were finally forced out they destroyed all the bridges on their retreat.
